Session on the Box
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, school has been kicking my butt! But i'm going to keep this blog update from this point on. I was skating with my two friends the other day on this box. We were just having a good time skating flatground and learning some tricks on the box. My roomate came by shortly after we warmed up and snapped a few photos of us before taking off. I've chosen my favorite and posted them below. Enjoy : )

R.I.P.
You were the love of my life. A teacher, a friend, a frustration, but most of all a blessing. You were a way for me to express myself to the world, a wonderful thing indeed. Not many people will ever understand you or what you were all about. You were always "on the go" and attached to "wheels". You're pop was stronger than a can of soda, and most of all your physique was a beauty....the perfect width for control and with a strong sturdy tail and an even larger nose. You were never to fond of my shoes....in fact my shoes usually took quit a beating and ended up with no sole and giant gaping wholes....thanks. But through all the trial & errors, the good days & the bad, the wear & tear you were worth it. You lived a good life of almost 2 months and this paragraph is a tribute to you! Thank you for being my skateboard!
Haha, I just felt like writing this for fun...don't worry I'm not ever this dramatic when I break a skateboard, otherwise skateboarding wouldn't be for me. Anyway I'll have a new board within a week or so. Can't wait to get back to shreddin!

Ruckus 103 skate Team
This is a video clip that my brother showed me of a couple of kids who have amazing talent when it comes to skateboarding. I love the variety of tricks and spots in the video, and the edit is SUPER LEGIT! Check this video out, it will inspire you! Oh, and if you like it a lot there's 2 other videos by the same group (part 1 & part 2). Enjoy
Good bye 2009....Hello 2010
Happy New years! You know what that means don't you!?! It's time for a fresh start! If you're just staring to learn how to skateboard, or if you've been in the game quite a while I encourage everyone whose reading this to starting setting goals for where you would like to see yourself by the end of 2010. Remember, first comes the vision...then action to follow through and reach your goals, but you have to be able to set realistic goals first! So keep this in mind for the next few weeks and really commit to a goal of progression at your own pace through 2010! Good luck, skate hard, and have a productive 2010!

Insight on skateboarding
josh tyvan gives some insight on what skateboarding means to him. a beautiful description of what skating can truely be about
Skateboarding & Music
Most skaters know that skating with music can be VERY helpful. The key is you have to get the right kind of music...the music that you enjoy the most, that gives you a high, the kind of music that gets you pumped. Here's what I do: I have an ipod (i recommend getting some type of mp3 player and you might want to invest in a decent one) and I make special playlists for skateboarding...each song in each playlist has a different feel to it to match a specific "mood" I want to get into while skating. It definitely helps you get "in the zone". Definetly get earphones that fit well, and stay glued to your ears. Often times most earphones will slip out after doing a few tricks and it gets to annoying to deal with. But if you can find the right music and the right equipment (mp3 player & earphones) then it will be well worth it, I promise!
