FLOW & EUPHORIA
There's nothing in the world like stepping on your skateboard and getting "in the zone"! Unfortuantely every experience you have skateboarding, is not always going to be a posotive one. If you're like me and you constantly push yourself to get better and learn new tricks as well as perfect old ones, you will be faced with grueling challenges, many failures, and possibly some nasty injuries. However, on the other end of the spectrum a good consistent skateboarder will often times find their "flow" and start nailing tricks back to back by pushing their limits to the edge....and what is the result of all this hard work? Heightened sense of euphoria, a satisfaction of no other, and sometimes an extreme feeling that I call the superman effect (invincibility!) Hahaha. So if you're new to skateboarding just know that you have to put in the time & work to get the results you want...and i'm not just talking days or even weeks. It can be years of work before you notice a drastic change in performance but once this happens skateboarding becomes a new thing entirely. It's not the same old thing that it was a year ago, now its much much more! This is why I love skateboarding! It's constantly an avenue I use to push myself, and it serves me well as a teacher. Once you develop a positive mindset from skateboarding you can apply it to anything! It's good stuff for sure.
